Some of my projects

After many years in front of the camera, Kathy Svilar takes her experience behind the lens.  Working to create a finished video piece that sells is the main goal. Web video needs to convey an idea quickly, with the most effective use of music, sound and images available.

Small business owners feel they can click and shoot video with their own cell phones…and they can, but hiring a videographer, sound engineer and voice over talent will make the process easier, with a more professional result.

Pittsburgh Prayer Experiment

The Pittsburgh Prayer Experiment hired Kathy Svilar to explain and promote the 30 day event to the Christian community via the web and cornerstone Television.  KMS decided to use powerful images to encourage people to pray for our city, our schools, our families and our government.

Ferri's Pharmacy

Ferri Pharmacy is a one stop shop, and offers more than the everyday drug store.  The one on one service and the old fashioned feel of the business lends itself to a fun, fast paced video review.

Uforia Salon

Uforia is an award winning salon located in the heart of Monroeville.  We wanted to give the potential customer a peek inside, and show examples of the work the expert stylists do everyday.

Wealth Builders

KMS Advertising produced this infomercial / corporate identity video for Jim Toner's Wealth Builders. Real estate investing and so much more!

Shop 'n Save

The creative team at KMS called on the talent of local rock legend Norm Nardini for its official Shop 'n Save pitch. The baby boomers in Pittsburgh grew up rocking with Norm, so KMS chose to tap into his enormous popularity, his credibility with local radio DJs, and his "classic rock" style.

Harpers Bazaar

Beautiful girls and lovely gowns make for an eye catching commercial, guaranteed to sell... and we did! "The commercial was professionally done, the staff was kind to work with, and our Prom Sales were increased as a result." ~ Marcy Walter, Owner

Bealls Nursery

How do you sell landscaping materials and stone work on a limited budget? Become “family” Look what we did for Jimmy Beall and Beall’s Nursery in Plum Boro.

Real Estate Riches

Real Estate Riches and KMS joined forces in 2003. RER needed a well known face and voice to help them get their marketing message to the public, and KMS President Kathy Svilar needed to learn how to invest in local Pittsburgh real estate. KMS produced hundreds of radio and TV commercials, trade show videos, web testimonials and 30 minute radio shows for the company.

As RER expanded into other markets, KMS researched and bought the broadcast media to open offices in Phoenix, Philadelphia, Houston and Dallas. Click below for the video we produced for the Robert Kyosocki Rich Dad, Poor Dad- KDKA RADIO event at the David L Lawrence Convention Center.

Yakim's Compounding Pharmacy

When it comes to hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings…Yakim’s Compounding Pharmacy needed a fun way to get the “ menopause message” to the Baby Boomer audience. We delivered a 30 second TV spot that really hit the mark.

On Camera

Svilar is a decidedly rare breed of product spokesperson, for whom the words friendly and exuberant might have been invented.

What I am here to tell you is that Kathy is not as nice as she appears on TV...she is nicer.
—  Leslie Rubinkowski, Pittsburgh Press

It’s not so much about what Kathy does, but the way people respond to what she does.
—  Joanne Giovannini, St. Catherine of Sweden Church

Though she is the proud owner of adorable brown eyes and a bright disarming smile, she’ll never be mistaken for a Hollywood movie starlet..yet she is regularly besieged by adoring fans whenever she sets foot outside her Monroeville home.
— Gary Rhoades, Pittsburgh Business Times
It was such. Your performance this year was astonishing! When I got home last night, I kicked off my shoes, sat down in my big chair, flicked on the TV and there you were!
